Diese Pilotstudie als Vorbereitung auf ein größeres Forschungsprojekt erforscht die Gestaltungsprinzipien und Wirkungsmechanismen von KI-gestützten Lernbegleitern zur Unterstützung von Grundschulkindern beim problemorientierten Mathematiklernen. In dieser ersten Phase werden Prototypen app-integrierter KI-Tutoren entwickelt und in geschützten Settings evaluiert. Ziel ist es, durch gezielte Variationen und iterative Optimierung der Prompts und Interaktionsdesigns erste fachdidaktisch fundierte Gestaltungshinweise zu generieren. Der Fokus liegt auf adaptivem, individualisiertem Feedback, das die kognitive Belastung reduziert und Kinder beim Forschung und Erkunden mathematischer Zusammenhänge begleitet. Das Projekt folgt dem Design-Based-Research-Ansatz und schafft die Grundlage für eine geplante umfassendere empirische Studien zur KI-Integration im Mathematikunterricht der Primarstufe und der Beantragung von Drittmitteln dafür.
Dieses Projekt wird aus Eigenmitteln finanziert. Es ist geplant, die ersten Prototypen in Kooperation mit dem Projekt KI@school des bayrischen Staatsministeriums zu erproben.
[Kurzinhalt - Fremdsprache] This pilot study, as preparation for a larger research project, explores the design principles and effectiveness mechanisms of AI-supported learning companions for assisting primary school children in problem-oriented mathematics learning. In this initial phase, prototypes of app-integrated AI tutors will be developed and evaluated in controlled settings. The aim is to generate preliminary design guidelines through targeted variations and iterative optimization of prompts and interaction designs. The focus is on adaptive, individualized feedback that reduces cognitive load and supports children in researching and exploring mathematical relationships. The project follows the Design-Based Research approach and establishes the foundation for a planned comprehensive empirical study on AI integration in primary school mathematics instruction and the application for third-party funding.
This project is financed from internal resources. The initial prototypes are planned to be tested in cooperation with the KI@school project of the Bavarian State Ministry.
